1/2" x 12' Professional Bridle

Made for outfits that eat gear through normal use: tow operators, fleets, anyone dragging a line over rock and road every week. Short on purpose, so the other driver has less slack to run over or drag. Built to outlast anything on the market.

Sandy Cats 12 foot Professional Bridle coiled, the whole bridle in one frame

Short on purpose

Most tow lines get wrecked by the other driver. They let the line go slack, then drive over it or drag it down the road.

At 12 feet there is less line to go slack, so there is less to run over and less to drag. That came straight from a tow operator who runs one every week.

Built for an off-road tow operator

We built the first one for an off-road tow operator. He was pulling rigs for miles at a time and kept chewing through straps and ropes, because on a long tow the line drags, and on pavement it drags worse.

Sheathed end to end

Our 8 foot Hero Bridle carries its metal-safe Hero sheath on the 18 inches in the center, which is all a bridle needs. This one wears that sheath over the whole rope between the eyes, so there is no unprotected stretch to drag through, and the eyes are dipped like our kinetic ropes.

Underneath is 1/2 inch rope with the same 29,000 lb minimum break as the 1/2 inch Hero Bridle, so if a section of sheath does finally wear through, there is a lot of rope left under it.

Static on purpose

A bridle is your anchor, so it should not stretch, and it spends its life bent tight around shackles and recovery points. A kinetic bridle, like some brands sell, is stretchy nylon with a braided core inside a braided cover. Load that hard over a tight bend and the damage happens in the core, under the cover where you can't see it. On aggressive pulls the inner strands kink permanently and the bridle is done. Ours are UHMWPE, a fiber that holds its strength around a tight bend and doesn't stretch, so all the stretch stays in the kinetic rope where it belongs.

Built for Safety

Every Kinetic-X rope and shackle is pull-tested to failure by an independent lab in California before we publish a rating. Beyond documented testing, the Sandy Cats team continuously pushes the limits of our gear, finding innovative ways to create safer and more effective recovery equipment. Rest assured, this gear is battle-tested.

Lifetime Warranty

We stand behind our Kinetic-X Recovery Gear with a lifetime warranty.
